About Precision Woodworking

Precision Woodworking has been building birdhouses in it's Stormville New York shop for more than 25 years. Owner Bart Zagami has been designing and fabricating birdhouses since 1980. Frustrated with using a vacuum cleaner, while standing on a ladder, to clean out old nests from some of his birdhouses, Bart designed and tested the birdhouses on this site to be easy to clean (thus EZ-Clean Estate Birdhouses). All our birdhouses are fabricated, assembled, and stained in our own workshop.

We strongly recommend building an EZ-CLEAN BIRDHOUSE POST to both facilitate setting the birdhouse on the post, (the Large Estate Birdhouse model weighs 52 pounds) and to make it truly easy to clean (no ladder required).

We also strongly recommend that as part of the annual cleaning the house be touched up every year, or at minimum every two years, and be refinished every three years. (Stain and/or sealer kits are available from us). Since the stain and/or sealer used penetrates the wood, there is no peeling paint to require special preparation and a quick coat of fresh sealer or stain is all that is necessary to keep your Estate Birdhouse in exquisite condition.
